2 Chronicles is the continuation and companion book to 1 Chronicles. It details the history of Israel, from the reign of King Solomon to the captivity in Babylon.
Although it covers much of the materials found in 1 and 2 Kings, it focuses on the David dynasty of the southern kingdom of Judah.
